Drawing monitors mimic drawing or painting in traditional media in terms of how they allow you to use a stylus to draw and paint directly on the screen itself, but they need a computer to attach to. If you are looking to "level up" your digital art workspace, a drawing monitor could be the next step. It is a perfect way to get in the door without breaking the bank, and it comes highly recommended not only for the projects within this book but for your overall enjoyment of digital art in general. Graphic drawing tablets are devices that only require a single USB slot, so they can be used with a large number of computer setups (and even with some cell phones, depending on your phone's capabilities). It was a fantastic starting point for me, as it came in under $80 and had all the cool features (such as pen pressure, pen tilt, and programmable buttons on the side) that I saw my digital art heroes (such as Craig Mullins, Sparth, and Barontieri) using at the time. If you already have a tablet, feel free to skip ahead however, if you haven't made the plunge, I very much encourage you to take a look. Some stations and Thruway Motorcoach stops are conditional or flag stops, with trains only stopping at the station if reservations for a pickup or drop off are made in advance. Many stations do not offer full services (ticketing, baggage, etc.). In some instances, the owner of the bus station used for a Thruway Motorcoach stop is not the same as the connection service provider. The ownership of many stations is shared, with one entity owning one or more of the following: the facility itself, the parking lot, the passenger platform, and the train tracks. Ridership data and station ownership is from Amtrak's Great American Stations website. However, if a station code was used for a Thruway Motorcoach stop that has changed locations, only information for the current location (or most recent location, if the stop is no longer in service) is included in the notes, unless one of the locations was an actual train station. It will prompt you to restart your device. Note that in order for this expansion to work, you need at least 50GB of storage space available on your Xbox altogether - so if you run into any expansion issues, delete a couple Xbox games from your device before trying again. If you plan on playing PSP, PS2, or GameCube/Wii games, I recommend allocating at least 100GB for dev storage. Here, adjust the dev storage to whatever you’d like it to be. Press the START (MENU) button on the controller and select “Manage dev storage” from the sidebar that appears on the left. Next, let’s expand the storage partition for Dev Mode, to give us space to load retro games.Note that you will also need to be connected to your home network for the rest of this tutorial, so if you are not already connected (I recommend an ethernet connection if possible), then go into Settings and set up your network connection. For further exploration of specific systems, I recommend checking out his channel, and consider contributing to his Patreon page. Many of the files used in this guide (including the reverted versions of RetroArch cores for PS2) are borrowed from his tutorials. This guide would not be possible without the excellent work done by Ryan over at Archades Games, whose Xbox emulator tutorials are comprehensive and relevant. But the use of these apps is a little sketchy since they circumnavigate Microsoft’s Dev Mode, and so for this guide we will only focus on the Dev Mode process and official RetroArch releases. There are other ways of playing retro games on your Xbox, to include getting whitelisted for an app store that launches a fork of RetroArch from the retail Xbox side, as well as a program called Tnavigator. It does take some configuration to get set up, and so this guide will help you through that process and get you well on your way for all the retro gaming your heart could desire. In addition to running classic games up to PS2 with higher resolutions, you maintain all of the functionality of the retail Xbox, and the whole endeavor is completely legal and available through Xbox’s Dev Mode process (after a $19 fee). Considering that the Xbox Series S retails for $300, I decided to pick one up and test its performance against a similarly-priced PC, and the results are fantastic. In my quest to find great emulation at a budget price, the idea of running games on the Xbox series devices recently came on my radar. You can also pick these bathroom accessories up in a two-pack or a three-pack. Judging from the reviews, it will be months, or even years before you'll need to change them, though, and if anything should malfunction, your light comes with a lifetime replacement policy. The light's flexible arm was engineered to fit over any toilet rim, but lots of reviewers have also suspended the light over a towel rack, or a toilet roll dispenser.Įach light needs three AA batteries (not included) and there's even a handy low-battery indicator. There are 16 colors to choose from, as well as a carousel function that cycles through them all and five brightness settings. To conserve battery, it stays off if it detects another source of light is present (like the sun or overhead light). The light's infrared sensor reacts to body heat, turning on when you're as far as 18 feet away, and staying on for two minutes after you've left the room. This Lumilux toilet light has an incredible 9,000 positive ratings on Amazon. ![]() A Fan-Favorite Toilet Light With Adjustable Brightness Levels Make nighttime bathroom trips less of a rude awakening with one of the best toilet lights below. For even more customization, some have additional brightness settings that also make those middle-of-the-night trips a bit easier on the eyes. If you want to turn your porcelain throne into a fun, conversation piece or even want some assurance that your circadian rhythm won't be affected, look for a color-changing model- in particular, red light is known for not disrupting sleep as is yellow and orange. However, if your toilet is in a high traffic area, a shorter detection range could help curb battery drain from false triggers (like from pets or rambunctious kids). Depending on the distance from your bed to your bathroom, you may want your light to illuminate the way as soon as your feet hit the floor. This is especially important because the motion detection distance can vary - typically with a range of 10 to 18 feet. Just be sure the beams are directing where you want them to go before peeling off the strong adhesive to install them. However, some may not consider it the most sanitary option, especially if it accidentally gets knocked in.Ī stick-on, motion sensor night light, on the other hand, is not a conventional "toilet light," but it allows a bit more creativity in your placement (like on the wall directly above your toilet) that's not directly in the line of fire, so to speak. Given this placement, it's easy to remove when you need to clean your toilet, change the light's battery, or just simply readjust its positioning. A hook-on toilet light has a flexible arm that hugs the rim of the bowl so that the inside can be illuminated, while a motion sensor faces outward. There are two types of toilet lights for you to choose from. You’ll need to consider brightness, preferred color(s), and how much flexibility you want in where you put your beam. Similar to night lights, the best toilet lights are motion-activated and easy to install. ![]() ![]() It was sung by Foo Fighters, featuring Foo Fighters. They can be either stationary or portable, can be single or multi-staged, and can be driven by electric motors or internal combustion engines. Reciprocating compressors use pistons driven by a crankshaft. Main article: Reciprocating compressor A motor-driven six-cylinder reciprocating compressor that can operate with two, four or six cylinders. The increase in the pressure of the gas is due, at least in part, to the compressor pumping it at a mass flow rate which cannot pass through the outlet at the lower pressure and density of the inlet. Put another way, a positive displacement compressor is one that operates by drawing in a discrete volume of gas from its inlet then forcing that gas to exit via the compressor's outlet. The main and important types of gas compressors are illustrated and discussed below:Ī positive displacement compressor is a system that compresses the air by the displacement of a mechanical linkage reducing the volume (since the reduction in volume due to a piston in thermodynamics is considered as positive displacement of the piston). Each stage further compresses the gas and increases its pressure and also temperature (if inter cooling between stages is not used). ![]() Often, the second stage is physically smaller than the primary stage, to accommodate the already compressed gas without reducing its pressure. Many compressors can be staged, that is, the fluid is compressed several times in steps or stages, to increase discharge pressure. The main action of a pump is to pressurize and transport liquids. ![]() Gases are compressible, while liquids are relatively incompressible, so compressors are rarely used for liquids. The main distinction is that the focus of a compressor is to change the density or volume of the fluid, which is mostly only achievable on gases. An air compressor is a specific type of gas compressor.Ĭompressors are similar to pumps: both increase the pressure on a fluid and both can transport the fluid through a pipe.
